I drew this piece in the garden at twilight in the middle of January. This was my call to the light of Spring to come forth. From the moment that the sun starts to rise north in the sky following the Winter solstice I watch and wait for the light to return. I use an app which tracks the times for sunrise and sunset and every day I watch the minute shifts in the rising and setting sun. It is always such a relief to reach Brigid’s day in February when the light of Spring has finally returned.
